Although for outdoor use, I use a speaker called the Block Party Live from ION ($175), which is basically a huge 50-watt speaker with what I'd imagine is a small car battery inside.

So you can either link one for just a wireless speaker, or 2 in stereo, or up to 50 in "PartyUp" mode (they all play the same audio), so if you want to have an outdoor movie party with your projector on the side of a house or barn or whatever (which is awesome & I totally recommend doing), everyone will be able to hear. However, they have a slew of crazy features like big sound, good-quality audio, amazing battery life, waterproof, and just released, the ability to link up to 50 of them (srs) together: The UE Boom are probably the best compact wireless speakers, but those go anywhere from $130 to $240, so they are waaaaaay more expensive than the small ones above. I've tried a variety of compact speakers & those are my favorite budget models so far. The Big Magicbox is nice because it's kind of a tube that you can place flat or upright & fills up the room a bit more for $20 extra. For example, I have a DKnight MagicBox II.it has amazing bass for the size, but the treble is pretty lacking, so female voices & higher male voices aren't as punchy.but for $30 in a tiny little box, it's pretty nice to have some kick on the lower end. The same thing applies to speakers.the smaller they get, the more trade-offs they have. Not as cheap as other ultra-small projectors, but pretty good for what you get, if you're aware of the cons mentioned. With a mini-HDMI to female HDMI adapter, you can plug it into anything (laptop, game console, Lightning adapter, HDTV cable box, Bluray or DVD player, etc.). Has a small battery (not hours & hours but not bad, and if you need to move it, it will stay on, which is nice).

Onboard speaker is useless (duh, the whole unit is only 2" x 2"), so at least get a nice little Bluetooth speaker that also has aux input (for cheap, compact speakers, I recommend either a DKnight MagicBox II if you want bass & don't care as much about the trebel, or a DKnight Big MagicBox if you want more sound but not as much bass.or if you can go bigger & have more $$$ to spend, UE Boom makes awesome stuff, but those are like 10x the price in some cases). So continuing, the included stand stinks get a Gorillapod (or at least a well-rated knockoff) instead. Keep in mind that a lot of these complaints are minor & solvable, and some you just have to live with because it's a pico projector & not a big boy. The contrast stinks too, and things are a little on the blue side, but the picture is pretty good at a max of say 70" or so in a very dark room.
#Cineplay theater Ps4#
You will need a mini-HDMI adapter for the PS4 anyway, might as well get the mini-HDMI to female adapter so you can plug in anything you want. On this one, the main cons are: the wireless streaming kicked me off a lot, so I bought Apple's ridiculously expensive Lightning to HDMI cable & use that with a mini-HDMI adapter - works perfectly, problem solved. It is stupid small:Įvery pico projector has pros and cons because they lack features that full-sized projectors have. Here's a pic with a full-sized (no fun size for me!) Reese's peanut butter cup sitting on top of it. My bro has a UO Smart Beam gen3, which is a 2" laser projector for $339: It doesn't have to be Bluetooth compatible, but I want the projector to be able to work with my phone, as in if I pull up Netflix from my phone, the screen will mirror me pulling up Netflix. To clarify, I'm looking for a projector that's small and portable, and works with iOS systems and a PlayStation 4.

It requires an app to connect to the phone (and phone connection was the salesman's top point.) was a mess, requiring an app to work(free), but it was slow and only pulled up pictures I had in my phone, no videos were playable, and.

I'm new to looking for projectors, so I just wanted opinions, pros and cons, and other ideas for these projectors.Įdit:should've specified, I'm looking for a projector that worked with iOS (including a MacBook) with a PlayStation 4.Įdit2 my reply to /u/SeaFoodDuder: I was looking at the Pro, and 5 min after posting this I purchased this, and the set up was easy, the projector at 200 Lumen was bright and the image was nice, but the way it operated was terrible.

I'm going out of country in about a week, and I got the idea of getting a projector instead of a tv to travel with.
